Some music videos have a product subtly placed in a part of the video. This is to promote said product which would earn the music video and the product money.
Some examples of product placements are:
Christina Aguilera- Not Myself Tonight, in which she promotes a perfume product.
Another example is Miley Cyrus- We Cant Stop, in which the product placement is Beats by Dre.
Another music video that uses product placement is Avril Lavigne- Rock and Roll, which uses a very obvious placement of the product Sony phone.

- TV promotes music videos and artists by interviewing the artists, using adverts which will play the music video and create interest for the audience which could get them to view the video on YouTube or buy it from iTunes.
- Print media promotes artists by interviewing the artists or writing columns about them which will interest the viewer, such as The Sun newspaper, or music magazines such as NME and Kerrang! magazine.
- Films synergy with music to create more dramatic effects and engage the audience.
